Description
Sure Tie anchors are a type of anchoring system used in brick veneer applications to provide a secure and stable connection between the brick veneer and the steel stud backup. The Sure Tie anchor system consists of a steel triangle-shaped anchor with a pointed end that can quickly and accurately pierce through insulation and/or wallboard to make contact with the steel studs behind. The Sure Tie anchor system allows for positive contact with the steel stud backup, transferring compression and tension loads from the veneer to the studs. The Sure Tie triangle is adjustable, allowing for up to 1-1/4" of vertical movement both up and down. This adjustability helps to accommodate any unevenness or movement in the studs. Sure Tie anchors hold the insulation in place, allowing contractors to install 4'x 8' sheets with ease, saving time and money.
Product Advantages
SureTie anchoring system is designed to provide a quick, accurate installation while ensuring a reliable connection between the masonry veneer and the steel stud framing. Its main advantages include:
- Quick installation: SureTie allows for quick penetration through insulation and/or gypsum board, saving installation time.
- Accurate installation: SureTie ensures accurate contact between the masonry veneer and the steel stud framing, enhancing the stability and reliability of the installation.
- Adjustable: The SureTie triangle is adjustable, accommodating up to 1-1/4" of vertical movement to suit different installation requirements.
- Time and cost-saving: SureTie can secure insulation, allowing contractors to install 4'x 8' panels more efficiently, saving time and money.
SureTie anchoring system is widely used in the construction industry, particularly in masonry veneer applications such as exterior insulation systems and masonry veneer walls. It is suitable for various types of masonry veneers, including brick, stone, and tile.
